I have read an article from an old magazine that interest me and a little research in the internet and i want it to share it thru this blog and hope it will give a healthy information to everybody who will read.
Sex is part of being human. It is also one of the most pleasurable experiences a human being can have. No wonder, because the act of sex is vital for the continuance of the human race. Now, research confirms that sex not only feels good; it also does your body good. Sex has surprising physical and psychological health benefits for both men and women.
1 Lowers risk of prostate cancer. For guys, a study has found that frequent sex may help lower the risk of prostate cancer. Researchers think that regular ejaculation may flush out cancer-causing substances from the prostate. A british study found that men who had at least two orgasms a week had half the death rate of men who only had one orgasm a month. So, men, the next time your partner says she doesn't feel like having sex, tell her it's literally a matter of life and death.
2 Boosts testosterone production. This helps strengthen bones and muscles. So, one can truthfully say that sex make a man more macho.
3 Cures headache. Instead of saying, "Not tonight honey, i've god a headache," a woman might want to say, "Tonight, honey, because i've got a headache." Oxytocin, a hormone responsible for labor contractions during childbirth and contractions of the pelvic floor muscles during orgasm, releases endorphins, natural painkillers similar to morphine, that help alleviate headaches.
4 Alleviates menstrual cramps. "Red flag" days usually mean it's off limits for sex, but research has found that having an orgasm during menstuation (solo or with a partner) can reduce the intensity of menstrual cramps. It may also help prevent endometriosis, because the uterine contractions triggered by orgasm push out menstrual debris. Endometriosis is a painful condition that develops when the tissue lining the uterus grows in other places, like the ovaries or fallopian tubes.
5 Burns calories. Depending on how vigorous your love making is, 30 minutes of sexual activity can burn up to 150 calories. This is similar to half an hour of dancing or walking. So erotic exercise three times a week can help you maintain your weight.
6 Improves blood flow. The increase in heart rate and breathing during sex helps to improve circulations and blood flow. The muscular contraction of the arms, legs, and pelvic muscles counts as a mild muscle-toning workout.
7 Better sleep. The total relaxation that follows orgasm promotes deep and restful sleep. Now you know why men fall asleep immediately after! Orgasm also brings a release from stress.
8 Body repair. The production of the hormone DHEA is increased with sexual excitement. DHEA plays a role in bone growth, maintenance and repair of tissues, suppleness of the skin, and cardiovascular and immune system health.
9 Spiritual healing. The healing power of sex is not just due to physical benefits. Intimacy and touch play major roles in keeping humans healthy in body, mind and spirit. Dr. Dean Ornish, a pioneer in cardiac rehabilitation writes in his book Love & Survival: The Scientific Basis for the Healing Power of Intimacy, "Anything that promotes feelings of love and intimacy is healing."
10 Adds more years. Research shows that people who are intimately connected with a loving partner are three to five times less likely to die a premature death.
BUT BEFORE YOU GET ALL WORKED UP...
Not all sex is good for your health. Unsafe sex practices can give you sexually transmitted deseases. Promiscous relationships can leave you emotionally vulnerable and psychologically devastated, according to the Sexuality Information and Education Council of United States. The best sex is intimate and loving.
